In the past 20 years our school has doubled in size from 147 pupils to over 280 now.
Fortunately the Department of Education have approved 4 extra classrooms for us, special education rooms, and office space.
The Sisters of Mercy gifted us a huge field before they sold their land and convent beside our school. We have landscaped this field and the children use it as a playing field. During covid we put a running track around the perimeter of the field so the children can use the field or the track all year round. We put astro turf on all the yards for Junior Infants, Senior Infants & First Class.
This Summer we gated off the back of the school so we do not have any anti-social behaviour at night time or on weekends. We also painted all the exterior of the school so the whole building looks lovely, clean, bright and cheerful. We got fibre broadband to the school, and we purchased Ipads for every class so all the children have time tabled access to the Ipads.
